Week 2 Missouri 8-Man Football Rankings

WEEK 2 MISSOURI 8-MAN STATE POLL
This week's "Game of the Week" is an easy choice. Its in Grant City as the Worth County Tigers host their long time rival, the Mound City Panthers. These two programs have, for the most part, dominated 8-man football over the years. They are tied with the most state titles in history with six a piece and one of the two has won the title seven of the last ten years. After winning three straight titles Mound City would fall twice to Worth County last season as the Tigers ended the Panthers streak and took home the title. This season Mound City has rolled to a 2-0 record on their way to the top spot in the state poll. Worth County finds themselves in an unfamiliar spot, outside the top ten, after falling to Rock Port in the season opener. The last time these two teams matched up it was in the Edward Jones Dome in St Louis with Worth County winning 50-20.
