Top Games No. 10 Metro League showdown

10) Westminster(2-0) at Lutheran North(2-0)
Metro League bragging rights will be on
the line Saturday when Westminster visits Lutheran North in a top game
in St. Louis. Westminster, the No. 7 ranked team in Class 4
improved to 2-0 with a 33-6 victory over St. Dominic as
Brendan Bognar passed for a
touchdown, Steve Webb and Caleb Miller
combined for 165 rushing yards. The Wildcats opened their season
with a 27-0 shutout victory over Festus. This season they average
30 points on offense and allow just 3 on defense per contest. Bognar has
passed for 150 yards-per-game and a pair of touchdowns, while Miller
leads the way on the ground with 133 total years and two scores.
A season ago Westminster earned a 41-14 victory, but this year a more
experienced Crusader awaits while the younger Wildcats must venture onto
the road.
Lutheran North followed up their 49-0 season opening victory at Clayton
with a 72-7 beat down at Principia. Cortez Smmons
passed for a score and rushed for a pair of touchdowns in week 2.
Martize Jenkins added a pair of touchdowns, averaging
better than 7 yards-per-carry. Head coach Brian Simmons opened the
season with 16 returning starters from North's semifinal team of a
season ago.
