Sachetta inks with Southern

Joplin, Mo. -- Fans of Missouri Southern football can check back here throughout the day as head coach Daryl Daye announces the 2013 football signing class. As each letter of intent is verified, we will post a short bio of each student-athlete. Keep an eye on www.mssulions.com and on both our Twitter and Facebook accounts for updates throughout the day on the latest on the 2013 MSSU Football Signing Day.
There will be a press conference today at 4 pm in Young Gym room 104 where coach Daye will discuss this year's class.

Brandon Berg - OL - 6-2, 250 - Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa Union High School
Berg was a three-year starter for coach Kirk Fridrich and the Redskins at Tulsa Union High School … A two-time state champion, Berg was an All-District selection as a senior as a center and the versatile lineman played every position on the offensive line at Union, including tight end … He was also a three-time All-District Academic selection, showing off his skills in the classroom … Berg is the son of David and Sandra Berg.
Elliot Blankenship - S - 6-1, 190 - Jonesboro, La. - Jonesboro-Hodge High School
Blankenship was a three-year starter for coach Todd Scott at Jonesboro-Hodge High School in Jonesboro, La. … A Top 100 athlete in the state of Louisiana, Blankenship was an All-District pick on both sides of the ball, earning honors as a defensive back as a junior and outside linebacker as a senior … on the offensive side, he earned honors at the running back position … As a junior, he recorded 38 tackles, two interceptions and returned one for a touchdown … as a senior he had 74 tackles and two forced fumbles … for his career he had 159 tackles, five interceptions, three returns for a touchdown and two forced fumbles … He also racked up over 2,000 yards rushing and 25 touchdowns … Blankenship is the son of Eddie Blankenship and Lajulia Spence.
Austin Carmichael - WR - 6-2, 200 - Broken Arrow, Okla. - Broken Arrow HS
Carmichael was a two-year letterwinner at Broken Arrow High School for coach Steve Spavital … As a senior, he was a member of the 6A All-District team, and was a recipient of the 2012 Guts Church Big Hit Award … Carmichael is the son of Sam and Jennifer Carmichael.
Jocqui Davis - WR - 6-1, 185 - Lewisville, Texas - Lewisville HS
A team captain at Lewisville High School in Lewisville, Texas, Davis was a First-Team All-District, All-Region and All-State selection for coach Greg Miller … As a senior, Davis caught 48 passes for 624 yards and an average of 11.8 per reception … He also hauled in 22 touchdown catches and carried the ball 15 times for 331 yards, an average of 22.0 per carry … He was a three-time recipient of the Outstanding Weekly Catch Award … Davis is the son of Marnie Davis.
Caleb Domingue - S - 6-3, 195 - Baton Rouge, La. - Christian Life High School
A four-sport athlete at Christian Life High School in Baton Rouge, La., Domingue was a four-time letterwinnner for coach Keith Dooley … on the football field, Domingue was a three-time honorable mention All-District pick his freshman through junior seasons … this past year as a senior, he was named first-team All-District, All-Parish and All-State as a safety … Domingue also lettered in baseball, track and soccer … AS a track athlete, he was an All-Region honoree and he was an All-District pick in soccer, as well … He is the son of Rusty and Denise Domingue.
David Heinkel - DB - 6-1, 185 - Williston, Fla. - Williston High School
Heinkel was a three-year starter on both the football field and the basketball court as he played for coach Jamie Baker at Williston High School in Williston, Fla. … On the football field, he was a two-time first-team All-Conference pick, while earning the Captain Award his junior year and the Ike Floyd Ironman Award his senior season … He played in the Flordia-Georgia Border War All-Star Game where he had seven tackles one forced fumble, a pass deflection and an interception … Heinkel is the son of David Sr. and Tammy Heinkel.
Colby Hinkle - FB - 5-8, 225 - Copan, Okla. - Dewey High School
Hinkle played defense for coach Chris Revard at Dewey High School in Oklahoma … He was named his team's Defensive Player of the Year in both 2011 and 2012, while being named the Linebacker of the Year his senior season … He was a team captain and was an honorable mention All-State pick this past year … He is the son of Curtis and Ginger Hinkle.
Ty McKenzie - LB - 6-0, 217 - Owasso, Okla. - Owasso High School
McKenzie was a two-year starter for head coach Bill Paterson, a Southern alum, at Owasso High School in Owasso, Okla. … as a junior, he was a three-time Defensive Player of the Week, while leading the team with 117 tackles … He helped his team to the state semi-finals and a 9-4 record that year … as a senior, he was the District 6A-1 Defensive Player of the Year … He was a first-team All-Vype linebacker, while being named an All-Metro selection and All-State pick … he was the second-leading tackler in 6A in the state of Oklahoma, leading his team with 148 stops … He was an Academic All-Conference pick and helped his team to the state semi-finals again, leading his team to an 10-3 record … Ty is the son of Valerie and Pat McKenzie.
Corey Moss - QB - 6-2, 190 - Thomaston, Ga - Upson-Lee High School
Moss was a three-year lettermen at quarterback for coach Tommy Watson at Upson-Lee High School in Thomaston, Ga. … As a junior, he was a first-team all-Region and All-State selection, while being named on the All-Middle Georgia team and listed as a finalist for the Thomaston Times Athlete of the Year … As a senior, He was the 4AAAA Region Offensive Player of the Year, while being named the MVP of the Georgia vs. Florida All-Star Game … As a senior, he had 236 rushing attempts for 1,501 yards, while passing for 682 yards … he rushed for 20 touchdowns and threw for 17 more … Also a three-year letterwinner on the track and field team, he was part of a state medalist 4x100m relay team, while making the finals in the 100m hurdles … He is the son of Terri Parmer and Alonzo Moss.
Gabe Sachetta - QB - 6-0, 185 - Joplin, Mo. - Joplin High School
Sachetta was a two-year letterwinner on both the football field and basketball court at Joplin High School … As a member of Chris Sheilds' Eagle football squad, Sachetta was a two-time All-Ozark Conference quarterback, as well as being named twice to the All-Southwest Area Football Coaches Team … In two seasons as a starter with the Eagles, Sachetta completed 213 passes for 2,868 yards … He has averaged 13.5 yards per completion and has 29 career touchdown passes … He also has 118 rushes for 441 yards and seven scores on the ground … He is the son of Kerry and Amber Sachetta.
Lance Walker - RB - 6-1, 185 - Jonesboro, Ark. - Nettleton High School
Walker was his team's leading rusher as a senior, playing for coach Jay Murphee at Nettleton High School in Jonesboro, Ark. … An All-County, All-state and All-Region selection, he had 94 carries as a senior for over 900 yards and 12 touchdowns … He also added 16 catches for 335 yards for an average of 21 yards per catch and four touchdowns through the air … He played in Max Emfinger's High School All-American Bowl as part of the West team in Daphne, Alabama this past season … Also a three-year letterwinner in basketball, Walker is the son of Tiawana Jones.
Jeffery Williams - DB - 6-1, 190 - St. Amant, La. - St. Amant High School

Donnell Chapman Jr. - TE - 6-2, 255 - Batesville, Miss. - Northeast Mississippi Community College
A two-year starter at tight end for coach Ricky Smither, Champan was an all-conference selection this fall for the Tigers … A 2011 graduate of South Panola High School, Chapman was a three-year starter at tight end for coach Lance Poe, helping lead his team to a state championship … An All-Conference selection as a senior, Chapman was an All-Region selection as a junior, while being named honorable mention as a sophomore … Chapman is the son of Willie Chapman Sr. and Gloria Chapman

Edget was a Mississippi All-Star selection at Holmes Community College where he played for coach Jeff Koonz … This past season, Edget recorded 32 tackles, six tackles for a loss and 4.5 sacks … In high school, Edget prepped at Grenada High School where he played for coach Lamar Pitcott and was a team captain and led the district in tackles two years in a row … He was a top 20 selection in the state of Mississippi where he was twice named All-District, All-County and All-State … Edget is the son of Latonya Edget.
Paul (Levi) Freeman - OL - 6-2, 290 - Petal, Miss. - Pearl River Community College (Miss.)
An All-Conference selection at offensive guard for the Wildcats, Freeman was a two-year starter at Pearl River Community College in Mississippi … A 2011 graduate of Petal High School in Petal, Miss., Freeman was an All-Region and All-State selection as an offensive lineman .. Freeman is the son of Jason Freeman and Casey Freeman Sipilli.
Elbert M. Fulgham III - OT - 6-2, 305 - Petal, Miss. - Dodge City Community College (Kan.)

A two-year starter for the Wolfpack and coach Glenn Davis, Graham was a two-year starter at defensive tackle where he was named All-Region, All-Metro and first-team All-MACJC …. A 2011 graduate of Biloxi High School, Graham was a team captain as a senior, while being named All-State, All-Region and the Defensive MVP for Harrison County… Graham is the son of Yulwaski and Faren Graham.
