MOSPORTS.COM SUPER 50
The MOsports.com staff with the help of top basketball talent evaluators from
around the Show Me State have put together a list of the Top 50 players in
Missouri. This was a difficult process to find the top players in the state,
regardless of class. Players were evaluated on current level of skill, and
potential at the next level.
Here are selections for the 2013-2014 school year.
and the next selection......
Next up in the MOsports.com Super 50 is a talented senior wing
from Willard who has committed to play at Missouri State University.
6-foot-5 inch, 180-pound senior Chris Kendrix joins the count
down of the top players in the Show-Me State.
"Chris is an exceptionally talented athlete", commented
Willard head coach Lamont Frazier. "Not only does he posses the ball skill
to play any position (point guard through small forward), he can also defend
those positions as well. Along with being long and lanky, Chris has
developed to become one of the best defenders I have coached!"
This season Kendrix is averaging 22.7 points, 7.6 rebounds,
and 3.5 asists per game for the 13-5 Tigers. An all-district,
all-conference, and all-state selection as a junior, Kendrix was named to the
Bass Pro Tournament of Champions all-tournament team this season.
Frazier, who played at the University of Missouri, feels
Kendrix has a very positive upside that will benefit him at the next level.
"Remaining consistent throughout his playing days at MSU will determine the
level of success he and his future team will have. As he matures both
mentally and physically I truly believe the sky is the limit for this young
man", added Frazier.
Kendrix will join fellow Super 50 selection Robin Thompson
with the Bears. "Chris is a high level athlete", commented Missouri State
head basketball coach Paul Lusk. "He is a talented wing who has a lot of
