Bedenbaugh Teaching Eluemunor About New Offer




Oklahoma's interest in 6-foot-6 and 300-pound offensive tackle, Jermaine Eluemunor wasn't there until the Sooners hired new offensive line coach, Bill Bedenbaugh from West Virginia. In fact, the former Mountaineer coach had already begun talking to the prospect out of Scanton (Pa.) Lackawanna C.C. about the University of Oklahoma before he had even arrived in Norman.

"We were talking a lot before," Eluemunor said. "He told me that he was moving to Oklahoma and that he was still going to recruit me to Oklahoma now. We have been talking (both at West Virginia and Oklahoma) for about four weeks now."

After Bedenbaugh made it to his new home within the Oklahoma border the prospect from London, England was one of his first calls and it was then that an offer was extended.

"He told me that he was going to hit me up during the week because he told me that he had just moved to Norman. He told me he was going to hit me up during the week because he wanted to talk to me. So, he called me and we started talking and he said that he likes me a lot. He showed my tape to the offensive coordinator (Josh Heupel)and he really liked my tape, so he offered me," he explained.
