Broken Arrow Dominates in Dallas

DUNCANVILLE, Texas - Though Saturday's NUC five-star event may have been taking place a bit Southwest of downtown Dallas, there was a distinct Southeast Tulsa feel to the proceedings. That's because of a quartet of Broken Arrow Tigers, linebacker Gyasi Akem, quarterback Coleman Key, cornerback Cre Moore, and safety Ryan Alger all showed off why division one coaches figure to flock to Broken Arrow head coach Steve Spavital's spring practices in the coming weeks.

Akem, who was a big buzz at this point last year before suffering an ACL tear just before the start of his sophomore season, took home the linebacker MVP while Key was the quarterback MVP and Moore took home the defensive back MVP award. And though Alger was bested by his teammate, the one-on-one scenarios of a camp are always going to favor a corner but in spite of this reality he looked solid in coverage and showed why Memphis is strongly considering an offer.
